HILLTOP CAMPING
Off-grid and eco-friendly with 360 degree views, and plenty of space between you and the next site, this peaceful campground offers self-sufficient campers the opportunity to get away from it all. All sites are on level gravel pads, and feature a designated outdoor fire pit (when conditions permit). Well behaved pets are allowed on leads.
The Folly is designed for Caravans, Motorhomes and Camper-trailers. Tents are allowed, but we ask guests to bring their own water, power and (preferably) toilet with them, as the fully accessible amenities block is limited with only one toilet and shower supplied by rain water. A septic dump point and rubbish disposal are available onsite. Nightly price is for two guests, additional adult guests $10 per person extra. Children under 12 are free. Each site must be pre-booked in advance.
There is an activity to suit everyone at The Folly including hiking, 4WDriving, birdwatching, patting and feeding the donkeys, cycling the area, or just relaxing by the river. The Folly has 7 kilometres of river frontage on the Severn River – perfect for kayaking or fishing for Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and Eel-tailed catfish. If hiking the property isn’t enough of a challenge, Girraween National Park is only 20 minutes away. Ballandean is famous for its wine with many cellar doors and restaurants in the area – perfect for stocking up for afternoon sundowners.

Ben's Fishing Tours
Escape to the secluded back reaches of The Folly for a relaxed catch-and-release fishing experience with Ben.
Travel by ute to hidden waterholes rarely seen by visitors, where you’ll cast a line into the Severn River in search of Murray Cod and Golden Perch (Yellowbelly). Along the way, Ben will share stories about the property, local wildlife and life on the farm.
Whether you’re an experienced angler or simply looking to enjoy a peaceful morning in nature, this is an opportunity to slow down and experience a side of The Folly few guests get to see.
After fishing, settle in beside the river and enjoy a freshly cooked Wagyu burger while taking in the tranquillity of your surroundings.

Truffle Farm Experiences
Experience Queensland’s first commercial truffle farm with Maple or Ben as you explore the oak trees, meet the dogs and learn about the fascinating world of black truffles.
Afterwards, enjoy a truffle-inspired lunch and wine tasting just down the road at The Church Local Wine Project, completing an authentic Granite Belt food and wine experience.
Truffle Tour and Lunch is available all year round – Fresh truffles and truffle hunts are only available in harvest season (July and August).
