Hilltop Camping for self-sufficient campers

Off-grid and eco-friendly with 360 degree views, and plenty of space between you and the next site, this peaceful campground offers self-sufficient campers the opportunity to get away from it all. All sites are on level gravel pads, and feature a designated outdoor fire pit (when conditions permit). Well behaved pets are allowed on leads.

The Folly is designed for Caravans, Motorhomes and Camper-trailers. Guests are advised to bring their own water, power and (preferably) toilet with them, as the amenities block is limited to one toilet with limited rain water. A septic dump point and rubbish disposal are available onsite. Nightly price is for two guests, additional adult guests $10 per person extra. Children under 12 are free. Each site must be pre-booked in advance. 

 There is an activity to suit everyone at The Folly including hiking, 4WDriving, birdwatching, patting and feeding the donkeys, cycling the area, or just relaxing by the river.  The Folly has 7 kilometres of river frontage on the Severn River – perfect for kayaking or fishing for Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and Eel-tailed catfish. If hiking the property isn’t enough of a challenge, Girraween National Park is only 20 minutes away.   Ballandean is famous for its wine with many cellar doors and restaurants in the area – perfect for stocking up for afternoon sundowners.
